Train

PersonalAmcrap Back from King Street Station. Now I fully understand why Americans prefer not to travel by train. Amtrak is a glaring example of inefficiency at work. No wonder they're constantly asking for the government to bail them out. On a brighter note, traffic wasn't bad at all. [@502]
PersonalTrain Updates to my linkblog, will be delayed this morning. I have to take Vicki to the train station. She's going on her annual Genealogy-research trip to Salt Lake with a friend. This time they decided to take the train. Should be a lot of fun for her. Dealing with the traffice to and from Seattle won't be. BlogNew Sponsor Please visit my new sponsor, All About Symbian. Technology Rape

JavaTechnology Rape In this week's Javalobby Newsletter, Rick shares his concerns about the Sun/MS settlement. Rick's involvement in the court case really gives him a unique perspective. Like everyone else I have more questions than answers. I really don't understand why Sun is willing to let MS rape its technology. MS always manages to emerge on top, leaving its so called technology-partners in the dust. We've witnessed it times and times again. They are a force to reckon with. Sun is hardly up to the challenge. I'm also having a tough time understanding what Sun brings to the table. I can see why MS wouldn't mind sparing some pocket change to settle the case, but I'm confused as to what Sun is actually expecting out of it. Sun is neither strong enough, nor smart enough, to dictate anything. They'll be lucky to collect MS leftover breadcrumbs in the end. Where did the links go? Visit my new Linkblog.

This is for all of the people who called, emailed and messaged me about my Gmail screenshot.

Fooled!

* You are eligible for two certificates if you recognized SquirrelMail and still believed.
* Journalists and other press/media vultures are not eligible. You're not worthy.

Seriously… It's been a long time since I've had this much fun. Thanks!

InternetGmail

Until about 30 minutes ago, I though that Gmail was one of the best April's fool ever. I was actually somewhat disappointed when I received an invitation for the service.

I tried it. It was quite unimpressive. There's really nothing there I haven't seen before.

Here's a screenshot:

Although I saw nothing in the TOS against it, I might get kicked out of the beta program for posting this.
