usWe went to see Maid In Manhattan yesterday afternoon. We also had a late dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Bellevue Square.

Like most Steak Houses, prices were high. The “faux-classy” ambiance did not really do it for us.

We had a Shrimp Cocktail with Creole Remoulade Sauce for appetizers. Ten bucks for 4 prawns with a spicy tartar sauce.

My New York Strip and Vicki's Petite Filet were cooked to perfection.

The side of Potatoes Au Gratin sounded better than it actually was.

We finished with a Caramelized Banana Cream Pie which was nothing to get excited about.

We might go back, we'll just skip the appetizers and dessert.

Why should we, Dave? Are there any technical merits? Pretty please is just not going to cut it.

I suspect that what you really want is control, and that is not about to happen. We've been down this road before. We all remember the RSS 2.0 fiasco.

We want to support open standards, not UserLand's half-ass standards.

That's the thing you don't get about standards, Dave, you have to relinquish them to the community at large. If you keep a tight leash, it just becomes proprietary crap that nobody really gives a damn about. We'll support them until something open comes along.

The time is now!

Why don't you stick to blogging about how much you miss smoking, and leave the technical stuff to people that genuinely care and truly understand technology.

meVicki's taking the cats to the vet early in the morning, teeth cleaning. We had to stop feeding them around 8pm. As a result I've been dealing with a pair of starving cats all night long.

On a normal night they would have eaten and gotten right back to bed, but take the dishes away, and it's a whole other story.

I've been stalked and given the dirty looks for hours now.

Have you every tried to fix yourself a snack with a couple cats camped out in the middle of the kitchen floor?
