Blast from the Past

I'm listening to Operation Mindcrime II on YME.

I have to admit that Queensrÿche last few albums were quite disappointing. We went to see them live a few years back, and it really seemed like the magic had gone. Needless to say I wasn't expecting much this time around.

It's quite good actually. I don't know if it is as good as the original concept album, but it sure is quite refreshing.

Russ thinks .mobi is a Good Thing. I agree. I does solve a real problem. I just can't believe it took so long. GoDaddy should start offering pre-registration for individuals pretty soon.

Boycotting April Fool's Day

I had some pretty funny lined up for tomorrow, April Fools' Day, until I realized it fell on a Saturday. Nobody is having fun at my expense during the weekend. You can try, but you will fail. I'll read all about it on Sunday. It's starting already, here and here.

I don't have any personal experience with SMS.ac, but any company that behaves like they do automatically gets on my shitlist. This is why I'm linking to Russ's blog with SMS.ac in the link text.

Cheap Cable Ties

Funny. Russ went to Home Depot over the weekend. So did I. He found some cheap Ethernet cables. I found some cheap 4" cable ties which are just prefect for neatly tucking away all of the cables (Ethernet, USB, etc.) under my desk. I've tried all kind of solutions before. From expensive Velcro ties to cable clamps. These cable ties work best. Moreover at 4 bucks for 100, you just can't beat the price. I never thought of using electrical cable ties before. They always seemed to be too big and bulky. I discovered these tiny ties last summer when assembling the burners wiring for our new BBQ.
