Don't Drive and Call
I don't know you about you, but I find people driving while cellularing extremely annoying. If someone really needs to be on the phone while in their car, they should be required to use a hands-free ear-piece or speakerphone.
Apparently a 1997 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that car accidents are four times more likely to happen when a driver is using a cell phone. Considering the number of drivers I regularly see do crazy stunts while on the phone, I'm sure the ratio is even higher nowadays.
A few cities now have laws banning the use of cell phones in cars:
Counties/Cities Fines Conshohocken, PA (up to) $1000 Carteret, NJ (up to) $250 Marlboro, NJ (up to) $250 Suffolk County, NY $150 West Conshohocken, PA $75 Brooklyn, OH $3*
*For the first offence, up to $100 afterwards.
Don't forget folks, we are licensed to drive, not licensed to be stupid.
