Buh Bye Confluence... Hello dokuwiki

<1 min read

I've just completed transferring my wiki from Confluence to dokuwiki.

I've been using Confluence since 2004. Thanks to a free open source license provided by Mike at Atalassian.

Reasons, you ask?

I believe that my little server is no longer tailored to run an Enterprise-Level Wiki. Confluence is providing a lot of functionality nowadays, but is also very taxing on memory and startup time. To put it nicely, I had to downgrade.

So, after a minimal amount of research, I decided to give dokuwiki a try.

So far, so good… Knock on wood.
