How to install a package (.ipk) on the Pre (Windows)

Enable Developer Mode on the Pre:
In Card view or in the Launcher application, type the following: upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart
Tap the resulting Developer Mode Enabler
icon.
In the application, move the Developer Mode
slider to the On
position.
Tap Reset the Device
.
When reset is complete, Developer mode is enabled.\
If you are running a 64-bit flavor of Windows, you'll need to install a 64-bit version of the Novacom driver by:
Extracting the installer directly from the
webOS Doctor archive. Simply rename the archive to
.zip
, open, extract and install.
Or by installing the
webOS Doctor, but don't connnect your phone when asked, just quit.
Connect the Pre via USB
Select Just Charge
on the Pre
Open a command (cmd.exe
) window in the location of the ipk
Issue the following command:
palm-install foo.ipk
