====== Syslog Setup ======

To enable syslog message logging:

   - Edit ''/etc/sysconfig/syslog'' on the syslog server
   - Add the ''-r'' to the ''SYSLOGD_OPTIONS'' variable
   - Telnet to the modem
   - Issue the enable command and enter the enable mode password
   - Issue the following commands:

set syslog enabled
set syslog port 514
set syslog remote <server-ip-address>
write

To view the syslog settings:

show syslog
