Java database PointBase 5.5
PointBase is a full-featured, SQL-92/99- and JDBC-compliant Java database that allows developers to build and deploy enterprise, Web, or mobile applications.
Using DataMirror's real-time data integration technology, Java applications share information with other enterprise databases such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server to events.
This newest release of PointBase presents functionality and usability enhancements intended to eliminate system downtime and provide up-to-the-minute information to mobile users.
New features include:- High availability: PointBase 5.5 keeps enterprise applications running 24/7 by maintaining a secondary copy of data to support operations in the event of system failure
- Constant mobile access: Mobile users are automatically rerouted to the secondary PointBase database if the production system is down
- Real-time update alerts: Push technology provides BlackBerry users with instant notification of new corporate data
What do you think of this latest version of PointBase?
