Maxim on Google Earth

Richard points out that you can use Google Earth to view the Maxim 75-by-110-foot magazine cover located in middle of the Nevada desert.

It makes wonder why the satellite pictures of such a deserted location are up-to-date when most US metropolitan areas appear to be quite outdated.

It's not a hoax. There is a real, 75x100 foot billboard laying on the ground in the nevada desert.

The overlay is the photo that Maxim shot, and is newer than the current google earth photo of the same location.
